Climb Kilimanjaro (5895m)
8-Days Lemosho Route
Overview
The Lemosho Route is one of the most beautiful and less crowded routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak at 5895 meters. This 8-day journey begins on the remote western slopes of the mountain, offering a peaceful start through pristine rainforest and scenic valleys. With a gradual ascent and excellent acclimatization profile, the Lemosho Route increases summit success rates and provides breathtaking panoramic views throughout the trek. Ideal for both first-time trekkers and seasoned adventurers seeking a more remote experience.
When is the best time to climb
The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the dry seasons: January to February and June to October. Both periods offer good weather and clear views, but there are some differences. January–February tends to be slightly cooler, with a higher chance of snow near the summit — making it a great choice for those seeking a more alpine feel. June–October is warmer and drier overall, with more stable conditions and higher foot traffic. The rainy seasons (March–May and November) are less recommended due to slippery trails and rainy cover.
