Ama Dablam (6812m)
Matterhorn of the Himalayas
Overview
Ama Dablam is often called the "Matterhorn of the Himalayas" for its striking pyramid shape and dramatic ridgelines. Located in the Everest region, this technical climb is considered one of the most beautiful alpine ascents in the world. The route includes glacier crossings, exposed ridges, and fixed ropes, making it a challenging yet deeply rewarding objective for experienced climbers. With acclimatization through Sherpa villages and support from expert guides, this expedition offers a perfect mix of high-altitude adventure and breathtaking Himalayan scenery.
When is the best time to climb?
The best seasons to climb Ama Dablam are autumn (October–November) and spring (April–May). These months offer the most stable weather, clear skies, and safe climbing conditions. Autumn is especially popular for its visibility and cooler temperatures, while spring brings longer days and fewer climbers on the mountain.
