Mera Peak (6476m)
Highest trekking peak in Nepal
Overview
Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and an ideal first summit for adventurers looking to step into the world of Himalayan mountaineering. Located in the remote Hinku Valley, this non-technical climb rewards you with one of the most breathtaking panoramas in the world — including views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kangchenjunga. With gradual acclimatization, expert guides, and stunning landscapes along the way, Mera Peak is the perfect challenge for strong trekkers ready to push their limits above 6000 meters.
When is the best time to climb?
The best time to climb Mera Peak is during spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November). These seasons offer stable weather, clear skies, and excellent visibility. Snow conditions are generally favorable, and temperatures, while cold at high altitudes, are manageable with proper gear and support.
